The University of Padua

In 2018, Il Pezzettino joined the Department of Developmental and Socialization Psychology (DPSS) of the University of Padua in a collaborative project for research-intervention activities in order to be especially in the forefront of everything that means bringing trauma and developing and experimenting tools to be able to treat the post-traumatic implications of abuse suffered at an early age.

The project is supervised in all its parts by Professor Simonelli Alessandra (full professor, University of Padua), scientific manager for the DPSS and aims to develop and test an assessment plan capable of "photographing" psycho-physical health -relation of infants and young children, in order to monitor their cognitive, behavioral and affective-relational development processes.

The assessment takes place according to a longitudinal design with repeated assessments in order to follow the child's development, its adaptation and any emerging difficulties, starting from the entry into the community and at predefined times, during the stay in the structure.

Tools are used, translated and validated in Italian , standardized for clinical and regulatory groups, commonly used in Developmental Services, NPI, pediatricians, as well as in clinical research in this field.

The project for the evaluation and monitoring of children living in the community is applied and implemented through the support of expert operators, the discussion of data, the supervision of operators and scientific and clinical dissemination.
